A Letter From Our CEO, Erika Tyburski

Dec 27, 2023Sanguina Inc

As we approach the end of 2023, it is with a profound sense of appreciation that I acknowledge the substantial growth and remarkable milestones achieved by our team at Sanguina. This year was not without its challenges, but it was our shared passion and commitment that propelled us forward, allowing us to turn those challenges into opportunities for innovation.

Amid one of the most competitive periods for fundraising, we successfully closed our first-priced round mid-year. The unwavering support from our funding partners fills me with immense pride and gratitude. You've become an extension of our team, always there when we need you, and your shared vision of accessible technology is felt daily. You have been instrumental in our growth, and I'm proud to say that we've never had to compromise on our team due to funding.

We're also grateful for the support from the National Institutes of Health as finalists in the Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx) Maternal Health Challenge. In collaboration with our government partners, we're validating the AnemoCheck Mobile app for use during and after pregnancy, aiming to enhance maternal outcomes. As a mother who experienced anemia struggles during pregnancy and postpartum, I empathize with the fears and frustrations of not feeling your best and not being able to give your all to your family. I'm thrilled that Sanguina can contribute, even in a small way, to improving care and quality of life for women.

In June, we surpassed one million fingernail selfies with the AnemoCheck Mobile app. This incredible achievement serves as a testament to the growing number of individuals who utilize our app to actively monitor their health and well-being. We are honored to witness the positive impact our technology has on people's lives. This achievement reinforces our commitment to promoting personal health empowerment.

In September, we received FDA clearance for our AnemoCheck Home test kit, a significant step toward our mission of delivering accessible technologies. Additionally, the current momentum in point-of-care, telehealth, and home testing is proving to be a positive catalyst for our industry, and we are excited to play a leading role in the continued integration of accessible healthcare in the industry

November marked the first anniversary of the premium version release of our AnemoCheck Mobile app, and we are delighted to celebrate this milestone with our users. The support and feedback from our users inspire us to keep pushing forward in our mission of empowering people to take control of their health and delivering on new features. We recently introduced the highly anticipated automatic fingernail detection feature, which has been the most requested feature by our valued AnemoCheck Mobile users.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has provided feedback and shared their stories. Your input has been the driving force behind these advancements. We are here to serve you, so please continue to share your suggestions, ask us questions, and challenge us. Let us be a part of your journey towards better health and well-being. Because once upon a time, I asked, "Why not?" and that's why I'm here today. So, I extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has interacted with us.

Every single day, I count my blessings for being able to collaborate with a dynamic team, bringing to life things that seemed like distant dreams just a couple of years ago. The technologies we've invented, developed, and tested are now tangible, accessible tools ready to make a real difference.

As we look towards the new year, I'm excited about the launches, partnerships, and products we have lined up. A final thank you to each of you for being part of our journey. Here's to a happy and healthy new year for all of us!

In good health,

Erika
