2025 in Review: How Sanguina Is Transforming Blood Health Access Worldwide

2025 in Review: How Sanguina Is Transforming Blood Health Access Worldwide

Last year, I said I was most excited about the launches, partnerships, and products we had lined up for the year. I'm proud to say that this year did not disappoint.

2025 has truly been defined by partnership, and collaboration has never felt more powerful. While I can't share everything just yet, I can say this: there is real power in collaboration and shared purpose. We've accomplished more than I ever imagined. Our pilots and custom products now span four continents, accelerating access to our technologies for women, children, and individuals with chronic and rare diseases. I am deeply grateful to every partner who believes in our mission and works alongside us every day to improve healthcare.

I’m also pleased to share that our longstanding support from the National Institutes of Health continues to grow in meaningful ways. We were honored to be named a Grand Prize Winner in the Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx) Maternal Health Challenge. Our work to better serve pregnant and postpartum women is only just beginning.

Many people have asked me, "What are you looking forward to most in 2026?"

I'm ready to move past the buzzwords. There's no shortage of conversation about "health equity," "access," and "value-based care," but practical solutions remain scarce.

We have them.

Our technologies are designed to be among the most accessible tools available for anemia management. In the U.S. alone, we welcomed 64,90 new app users who completed 281,300 sessions this year. We piloted our smartphone technology in rural low-resource communities, urban environments, and patient homes. Bringing quantitative, objective support to even the most remote settings is how we advance real equity. It's also how we define and deliver genuine value-based care—and begin building more sustainable solutions.

I'm also excited to continue developing (and hopefully launching) a new product—or two. If you're looking for a hint, click your heels three times.

Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a very happy, healthy new year.

Warmly,
Erika
