AnemoCheck-LRS is being designed for low resource settings where anemia is the most severe. In this publication, collaborators conducted 570 evaluations and concluded that AnemoCheck-LRS is a rapid, inexpensive, and accurate POC test for anemia. AnemoCheck-LRS is more accurate than another commonly used method for low resource settings for detection of low Hb levels, severe anemia that may require blood transfusion. Our next step is to test prospectively in limited-resource settings where severe anemia is common, to determine its utility as a screening tool for severe anemia in the field.
